Lakie est la fille du chef de Kazenia, la ville volante. Sa mère fut morte à sa naissance, et son père est le seul et dernier ancian Clargh qui est toujours en vie, mais il mourra très tôt après le départ de Lakie pour la quête des Clarghs. Cette jeune fille est capable de lire dans la pensée des gens, et même de répondre aux énigmes les plus profondes.
